Alisha Liggett, MD

Alisha Liggett, MD known as Dr. Alisha, is the founder and executive director of Empower Her Health, LLC. She is a board certified family medicine doctor, with a clinical practice based in the New York City metro area. Since completing her training, she has honed her passion for women's health and has worked in clinics caring for medically underserved clients. Through her own personal experience as a patient dealing with health care bias and complications of preeclampsia during her first pregnancy, she brings a unique insight to her work as a Black birthing person, and as a doctor. She blends her medical knowledge, and her personal experience to provide culturally centered health education focused on justice, and improving improving the patient experience for Black, Indigenous, and other People of Color (BIPOC) individuals.
