Dr. Sujan Gogu is a triple board-certified physician in family medicine, sports medicine, and pain medicine, dedicated to advancing healthcare in the underserved Rio Grande Valley community. He earned his medical degree from the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his family medicine residency at The University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. He further specialized in sports medicine at Texas A&M University and pain medicine at the Texas Pain Institute. As the only triple board-certified physician in these fields in the Rio Grande Valley, Dr. Gogu is deeply involved in medical education, mentoring many students and residents as he serves as faculty at three medical schools. He is also an advocate for healthcare, actively participating in organizations like the Texas Medical Board, the Texas Medical Association, and serving on the board of Healthcare for Action, where he advocates for better health outcomes through political means. Dr. Gogu is also a respected commentator and published writer in many outlets. He serves as a physician for USA Badminton and USA Boxing, expanding his sports medicine network with Team USA alongside his career at DHR Health. He resides in the Rio Grande Valley with his wife, enjoying diverse cultures, staying active, and cherishing moments with loved ones.
