Lakshman Swamy, MD, MBA

Dr. Swamy is a pulmonary / critical care physician at Cambridge Health Alliance and an Instructor in Medicine at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Swamy is also a Medical Director at MassHealth focused on Payment & Care Delivery Innovation and an Assistant Professor of Population & Quantitative Health Sciences at UMass Medical School. He focuses his research and activities on redesigning delivery of care and working environments to reduce burnout and improve patient outcomes. In fact, in the first year of the pandemic, he was inspired by the moral injury and burnout he was experiencing to create "Critical Care: The Game" and assembled a team of design and gaming advisors to bring the game to market. To reach wider audiences and offer counterpoints to mis/disinformation, Dr. Swamy appears on CNN, Yahoo! Finance, CBS, and NBC News.
